This paper describes the portalization of the Access Grid Toolkit and its impact on the e-Research Community. We discuss the issues of existing Access Grid software, and the advantages that a web portal provides. We describe the new portlet and its features, including the technical challenges that are presented by the integration of the two technologies. We then discuss how users are being involved in the process of development, to ensure that the software will be useful in a real life context.
