Current and Future development

The Digital Replay System is under constant revision and development, as driven by the requirements of the driver projects at the DReSS node.

Current and future development work includes:

Providing an interface for the user to enter and view meta information stored in the project. This will allow users to e.g. enter and view meta data associated with media files themselves (who recorded it, where are the original tapes stored etc).

Improving the current coding scheme to allow code re-factoring and greater visualisation of the coding logic.

Move the system to the planned client / server architecture , allowing uses to store data on a central server, allowing for easier backups and easier collaborative working.

Importing Transana 2 transcriptions . Work is currently being carried out to finalise the importing of Transana-derived transcriptions into DRS format.
