The aim of this project was to create a software demonstrator showing the potential of Grid technologies to support and extend existing practices in video analysis. The key objectives were:

  • To deliver a working demonstrator which supported video analysis over Grid infrastructures
  • To generate a set of requirements for supporting video analysis across distributed teams
  • To provide an assessment of the requirements of distributed video analysis application through a series of consultations, interviews and studies of co-located video analysis
  • To provide a pilot analysis of the key difficulties associated with distributed video analysis over the Grid using a video analysis approach as an exemplar
  • To deliver a pilot analysis of the demonstrator in use, through studies of video analysis sessions conducted between the project partners.
